Its Saturday…and the perfect day to lay back and read a book, watch a movie or do your nails . I will read my book at night before hitting the pillow, will watch a movie after posting this, and I finished playing with my nails just minutes ago . Listening to Raanjhanaa songs right now…pure bliss man!!! Makes me want to fall in love once more (with the same person *shy shy*- ‘my man’ ). My new nails are lifting up my already uplifted spirits. I named today’s nails “SMUDGED“. Check them out:
This is my second nail art post. For the first one, I had only written down the steps. I felt it would be easier to follow if I could put up in-between-the-steps photos. I have tried doing it in this post. Hope it helps.
You will need two nail polishes and a top coat. Try avoiding quick drying formulas for this nail art. I used these:
The bronze one from Colorbar, the teal blue fron The Color Workshop and topcoat from Lotus.
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Use one (any one) of the nail paints and dot randomly on your nails leaving some space for the other color.
Step 2: Take the second color and dot (doesn’t need to be neat at all) in the empty spaces.
Step 3: Don’t let your nail dry. Take the top coat and apply gently but slowly from the base of your nail to the edges and in the process smudging everything on its way. Tadaaa!!! Done.
Take a look at the steps: (Don’t laugh…I know my finger looks different in each step )
Complete each nail once you start with it because if your nail paint dries, it will not smudge. I took the pictures of my index figure. It dried up a bit in the process and I feel the smudge effect is not as good as my other nails.
Give it a try. Nothing artistic it in but doesn’t look bad at all. Perfect for girls not very good at nail art because neatness required is ZERO.
How do you like to spend your Saturdays? Do you love playing with your nails? Tell me in the comments.
Wishing you beauty,
