My haul fever has gone down…thankfully!!! So, I am back to my normal self and will be reviewing Olay White Radiance purifying foaming cleanser today. I got it for free with Olay White Radiance Serum reviewed here. I am a cleanser freak since I usually have a greasy puddle on my face almost always (yes…my face becomes oily after 15 minutes of washing it). I love to try out different cleansers and a free one made me happy .
Product says: First step to ignite brightness from cellular level (refers only to epidermal layer of skin) for natural luminous fairness. Provides deep cleansing action to remove dirt, excess oil, color cosmetics, to reveal skin brightness and radiance.
Directions for use: Use twice a day before moisturiser application. Wet face: squeeze a small amount into the palm of your hand and activate to release the foamy lather by adding water. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Myristic Acid, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauric Acid, Polyquaternium-10, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Pentasodium Pentetate, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.
Price: Rs. 349 for 100 gms. (I got it for free on purchasing Olay White Radiance serum)
Shelf Life: 2 years
Packaging: The cleanser comes in a tube with a flip cap. The flip-cap fits well, hence no fear of accidental spillage.
Consistency: The texture is light and kind of glistening. Has a faint soapy smell which may be overpowering for some.
How did it fare on me: For me, this was like any other good face wash. Nothing special about it and it doesn’t deserve such a heavy price tag. It lathers very well, leaves the face squeaky clean and fresh and removes makeup, but not waterproof mascara (waterproof liner is also not removed properly. It is best to use a makeup remover before using this cleanser). I felt it is a bit drying for me as I rush to my toner and moisturizer after using this. I used this face wash alone i.e. did not follow up with the serum to check its effectiveness. It does nothing on the skin brightness and radiance part.
TO SUM UP:
- Decent packaging.
- Removes oil and dirt very well.
- Removes makeup to some extent.
- Lathers well (I personally prefer foaming cleansers).
- Leaves face squeaky clean and fresh.
- A little is required for every use hence will last long.
- Price is on the higher side (quality wise).
- Does nothing to impart any kind of brightness or radiance.
- Very drying (even for my super oily skin).
- Does not remove waterproof makeup completely.
- I do not like the smell.
Final Verdict: It is nothing more than a normal face wash doing its own good work of cleaning the face. It is full of chemicals. Dry skinned girls stay away from this.
Wish Me Beauty Blog rating: 2.5/5
Will I recommend: No. Don’t spend your money on this as this will do nothing special for you. I am not buying this again.

Got the Elle 18 lippie replaced (you will know if you read my previous post). The SA tried to convince me that lipsticks are not harmful even if they cross the expiry date. Can you believe it??? Anyways I am glad I could convince her that I am not an idiot and I want that lippie replaced . Bye till the next post. Take care.
Wishing you beauty,
